The Diploma in Te Reo achieves the ultimate goal in learning Te Reo, which is complete fluency, by learning the final 25 sentences (or 17%) of Te Reo Màori.
This Diploma in Te Reo covers everything you will learn at universities and wànanga (in 3 to 5 years) by teaching you the same content, but condensed into 75 sentence patterns you need to know. There are 15 sentence patterns at Level 1, 15 sentence patterns at Level 2, 20 intermediate-level sentence patterns at Level 3 and finally, the last 25 advanced patterns, making you 100% proficient in reading, writing, listening and speaking Te Reo.
With our 5-step method, you can be speaking the Māori language in no time! There is no pass or fail in this course (it is competency-based), which means your effort is not based on merit.
There are 5 modules to complete in Level 4 of the Diploma in Te Reo, including metaphoric use of Te Reo, colloquial sayings and formal speech, as well as advanced sentence patterns that only advanced speakers would know.
You must complete each module in sequence before moving on to the next. The quizzes and assessments use an AI tool we call the Traffic Light System to measure the accuracy of your pronunciation. This means you receive a result immediately upon completion of each quiz or assessment. You automatically receive a digital badge at the end of each of the 5 modules and a Diploma in Te Reo – Level 4, upon completion of all 5 modules.
What to expect
- In Level 4, you will learn the final 25 language patterns in Te Reo, which make up to 100% of Te Reo patterns, and build on the first 50 patterns learnt in Levels 1 to 3
